Route 66 Trail

Registration

How it works: Bicyclists and other users will each ride one of 14 legs of the Route 66 Trail, simultaneously covering the entire distance of the route. They will converge at six different Route 66 towns, where ceremonies highlighting the new "Route 66 Trail" will be held at noon.

Ride a whole segment, or start anywhere along the way (most segments list alternative starting points for shorter distances). Pick your starting time so that you arrive by noon. Unless noted in your segment's cue sheet, you'll need to handle your transportation if you do not want to bike back to your starting point.

After signing up, you will be directed back to the event web page so that you may download the detailed cue sheet and event information for your segment. Also, to get a printed Route 66 user's guide sent to you, contact Illinois Department of Natural Resources at 217-782-3715.

Sign up below! Be sure to use your correct email address since that is how we'll provide you follow-up information. If you are using any mail filters please adjust them to allow email from . We do not reply to spam blocking service requests.
